THE 5K PROGRAM
Reaching five years at High Wide & Handsome earns employees a $5,000 personal expense account to be used for something they otherwise wouldn’t do. Past recipients have used their 5K for things like traveling, home remodeling and even a once-in–a-lifetime wardrobe shopping spree.


10 Years = Lunch for Life
Starting on the day an employee reaches their 10-year anniversary, lunch is on us—five days a week, 52 weeks a year, for as long as they stay at High Wide & Handsome. We present them with a matte black, metal “Lunch for Life” credit card for the sole purpose of paying for their daily, mid-day repast—without any daily limit. Because loyalty isn’t just admirable, it’s delicious.


15 Years = clean house club
Once you’ve been with us for 15 years, we’ll have your home cleaned twice a month, every month, for the rest of your tenure at HWH. Because the only thing better than being able to work from home every day is being able to work from a home you don’t have to clean.


THE EQUAL JUSTICE EXPERIENCE

The Equal Justice Experience pays for each of our employees, along with a family member or friend, to visit the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace & Justice in Montgomery, Alabama. The museum and the memorial are part of the Equal Justice Initiative, an institution committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, challenging racial and economic injustice and protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. It was founded by Bryan Stevenson, an acclaimed public interest lawyer and the author of Just Mercy.

THE 50/40 pledge

We commit to the following levels of representation with respect to hiring practices and the work we produce on behalf of our clients: At least 50% of our full-time employees will be BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled and/or senior in age. At least 40% of the influencers, directors and photographers with whom we partner will be female, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled and/or senior in age. At least 40% of the on-camera talent we cast will be BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled and/or senior in age.

Peer Pay
Everyone who works at High Wide & Handsome is empowered to award a $250 or $500 spot bonus to any other employee, at any time, for any reason. (We even pay the taxes so the recipient gets 100% of the money.)


A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Days & First Fridays
In addition to unlimited PTO, we close at noon on the First Friday of every month. Yet we still find there are lulls in the holiday calendar when we need to encourage the whole agency to take time off. So we invented a holiday called A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Day (Agency-Wide Effort to Stave Off Mental Exhaustion) that we celebrate twice a year by closing the office.


Student Loan Assistance
Paying off student loans can be a burden. That’s why we make a monthly, tax-free, $100 student loan payment on behalf of every team member with outstanding student debt.


Profit Sharing is Caring!
When we meet our profitability goals, we reward employees with an annual benefit for contributing to the agency’s success. Profit sharing is distributed as a contribution to each team member’s 401k account, maximizing the benefit by making it tax-free.

ABOUT OUR NAME
In auto racing, “High, wide and handsome” describes a highly aggressive style of driving. (Little known fact: “High, Wide and Handsome” was the original title of the movie “Talladega Nights.”) In soccer, it refers to a goal scored in one of the upper corners. High Wide & Handsome is also the name of a Grammy-winning folk album by Loudon Wainwright III and the unofficial motto of Montana (aka, “Monfuckintana”). But to us, it represents a resourceful, relentless and utterly comprehensive approach to problem solving. As we like to say, "Hold nothing back…go high, wide and handsome."
